We Talk is a project organized by the Rotaract Club of IIT, with the intention of promoting peace and freedom among people of all religions and ethnicities. This project was initiated after the Easter attack which took place in Sri Lanka on the 21st of April 2019.

On this day, three churches and three luxury hotels were targeted in a series of coordinated terrorist suicide bombings. The following unexpected incident shook the whole country, and this led to misunderstandings among people of different cultural and religious backgrounds. Thus, this directly impacted the peace and freedom of everyone in the country.

Peace and freedom is crucial in order to prevent violent situations, and to maintain good social relationships, while having mutual respect for everyone in society. For the above project, we arranged a set of videos and posts which demonstrates

the meaning behind peace and freedom. These posts and videos were done by other rotaract clubs around the world.Through this project, we expect society to promote love and care towards everyone equally, not hate and violence. We believe that all humans should be treated equally regardless of race, colour, religions, gender, etc.

We wish for everyone to learn the art of working towards social justice and peace from this project. As humans, we should learn to respect people from all sorts of diverse cultures. When taken as a whole we RACIIT promote Project WeTalk, a non-violent society for all of us to live in harmony.
