Millenials of this generation have a lot of great ideas but they fear the risk of taking up the challenge head on. Most businessmen have a mindset of being happy with whatever they have as long as they feel comfortable but we want to promote the mindset of Entrepreneurs who take the risks that the rest fear to take.
Hence to promote this idea the Rotaract Club of IIT organized the “Creative Minds” workshop collaborating with the Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) which was targeting entrepreneurs and new innovations. The workshop was held on the 3rd of October at IIT premises from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. the main reason for hosting this workshop was to promote Disrupt Asia which is one of Sri Lanka’s Premier Startup Conference
and Innovation Festival. We brought down 3 speakers, Mr. Thariq Hamad, Mr. Fathi Mohammed(Co-Founder of Pick-Me and CEO of YOHOBED) and Mr.Kasun Rathnayake(Category Manager of Immersive Tech Arimac Lanka PVT LTD).
We successfully concluded the project with a project attendance close to 60 people and we gave the speakers a token of appreciation to appreciate the time they took to come and give us their point of view in their relative industries.
